👓 Medical, Optical & Women’s Product Donations

We act as a collection hub for essential health and hygiene supplies for Mate’s Gift, delivered to remote and under-resourced villages in South East Asia.

💊 Unused Medications (Animal & Human)
Unopened, in-date prescription and over-the-counter medications are sorted and distributed to veterinarians and animal rescue teams in rural Bali, Sumatra, and Thailand—helping treat illness, manage pain, and support sterilisation efforts.

👓 Prescription Glasses
We collect used prescription eyeglasses, test them, and match them with people in rural villages who would otherwise go without. A simple pair of glasses can dramatically improve daily life.

🩲 Women’s Health Products
We accept:

• Reusable menstrual products (cloth pads, menstrual cups)

• Gently used or new bras

These empower women and girls in remote areas to manage their health with dignity and independence.

♻️ Trash for Cash – CDS Bottle & Can Collection

An easy way to help animals—save your bottles and cans!
Through the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), every 10c container adds up. 100% of refunds go to Mate’s Gift and other animal welfare projects.

What to Donate:

• Aluminium cans (e.g., soft drink)

• Plastic bottles (under 1L)

• Glass bottles with refund label

Look for the “10c refund at collection depots” mark. Drop containers to HHPG during opening hours—we’ll sort and redeem them.

♻️ Food Rescue & Local Distribution

Each week, we collect donated dog and cat food (often close to expiry) and ensure it’s distributed to:

• Local food pantries

• Elderly residents and struggling families

• Animal rescue groups in need

• Reaching Out in the Inner West

We collect from partners such as All 4 Paws Dog Rescue and Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC) in Pakenham. Organisations with excess pet food are encouraged to get in touch.

🐾 Fundraising Fun Days

We host themed events with dress-ups, raffles, photo booths, and more to raise funds for animal welfare groups—building both community and support.

🎄 Annual Christmas Drive

Every December, we collect:

• Dog & cat food

• Blankets, towels, jackets

• Toys, collars, leads, bowls

These are distributed to rescue groups and pet owners in need, making Christmas warmer and kinder for animals across Victoria and beyond.

✈️ Bali Suitcase Squad

We coordinate supply deliveries to animal rescue groups in Bali, storing and packing items for travellers to take.

We proudly support ACT Dog Rescue (Bali) by funding and equipping sterilisation clinics to reduce unwanted litters and improve street dog welfare.

🐷 Support for Rescue Farm Animals

We work with Betty’s Barnyard in Queensland, sending jackets, blankets, and other comforts during winter for rescued farm animals.

🇹🇭 Partnership with Pete’s Mission – Pai, Thailand

We support Pete’s Mission, an animal rescue organisation in Pai, Thailand, through funding, supplies, and hands-on help for outreach and education.
