Welcome to our exclusive sleepover service, available exclusively for our day care clients. We provide a personalized and comfortable alternative to traditional boarding establishments.
Your furry friend has two options for their sleepover experience: they can either stay in the cozy environment of our carer’s home or have one of our professional carers stay in your home. For new clients, we kindly request a paid daycare trial to ensure your dog is suitable for the sleepover service.
Availability for our highly personalized service depends on our carers’ schedules and suitability, so it’s important to inform us of your desired dates as early as possible.
During the sleepover, your dog will attend daycare on weekdays and enjoy walks with our carers on weekends.
Our sleepover service is designed for dogs who thrive in a home environment. If this service is not suitable for your dog, we will gladly provide referrals to our preferred boarding establishments.
To ensure your dog’s well-being, please ensure they are in good health and grooming condition before their sleepover. For stays longer than 7 days, your dog will receive a complimentary wash and tidy. Don’t forget to provide their food and any necessary medications.
In Carers Home Sleepover – Is my dog suitable?
Only dogs who are suitable for day care will be appropriate for the ‘in our carers home’ service.
If you are interested in booking our sleepover service for your dog sometime in the future it is suggested that your dog regularly attends day care. This will help our carers get to know your dog and will help your dog become accustomed to spending time with us and away from you.
Arrival Times
Please ensure dogs arrive at day care before 9.30am (to ensure all dogs settle in the morning) and this will help spend their energy so that they are calm and tired for their first night away from home.
Pick up and drop off services are available (in our service areas) at an additional fee.
If your dog is collected after 12pm on your return date an additional half day of day care ($50.00) will be charged on top of quoted holiday care.
Because this is a highly personalised service and our carers are all staff members (as opposed to contractors or students) it is imperative that you book your fur-kids stay with us as soon as possible. We will also need to meet your fur-kid to pair them with the right carer as well as to ensure they are comfortable at day care. You can book a 3 hour, half day or full day for this meet and is an additional expense on top of the holiday care.
Our sleepover service is perfect for those dog’s who enjoy hanging out in a home environment. Not all dogs are suited to this service and should we not be able to help you we will happily refer you to our preferred boarding establishments.

In Carers House Sleepovers
Includes doggy day care, weekend walks, over night care and a wash and tidy if booked for more than 7 nights. Please note, dogs must be in good grooming condition prior to commencement of sleepover, this condition will be maintained by his/her carer. Food is not included – please send your dogs usual food to ensure they have a settled tummy throughout their stay.

In Dog/Cat House Sleepovers

Payment
Payment is expected prior to commencement of care.
Payment methods: Cash at (please deliver to Hairy Hounds Playground prior to your scheduled sleepover), direct transfer, credit card, and we have eftpos facilities at Hairy Hounds Playground only. (For direct debits please ensure your name and your dogs name are used as the reference.)

Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation:
Please note that as this is a personalised service and carers often accept only one dog at a time, therefore we have a strict cancellation policy and additional fees for Easter and Christmas and long weekends.
Within 8 days or more – An administration fee of $85.00 deducted from full refund **
(** Queens Birthday, Melbourne Cup, Easter and 23rd Dec – 3rd January 1 night of care will be deducted from the refund + administration fee of $35.00)
Within 7 days – 1 night of booked care and an administration fee of $35.00 deducted from refund **
(** Queens Birthday, Melbourne Cup, Easter and 23rd Dec – 3rd January 2 nights of care will be deducted from the refund + administration fee of $35.00)
Within 3 days – 2 nights of booked care and an administration fee of $35.00 deducted from refund **
(** Queens Birthday, Melbourne Cup, Easter and 23rd Dec – 3rd January 3 nights of care will be deducted from the refund + administration fee of $35.00)
Within 24 hours – No Refund
*** In the event where your scheduled sleepover has already commenced, no refunds on booking will be issued.
Why is our cancellation policy so strict?
Because this is a very personalised service and our carers give up their time and homes and regular routines to take on your fur-kid’s, it is imperative that they receive compensation should you cancel for any reason. Hotels and boarding kennels have very strict cancellation policies and so do we.
